At the beginning of 2019, I decided I was going to do the 10,000 steps a day challenge as my Gran was battling with cancer.
Sadly, she lost her battle in February 2019 and I needed something to take my mind off the horrible empty feeling so I decided to sign up to a 10k race for life.
At this point of signing up I wasn’t running and hadn’t since high school! So, in April - I began my running journey and started couch to 5k. I loved it - it made me feel better in so many ways.
I successfully completed my 10k in July in 58 minutes and 33 seconds. The day after... I signed up to a half marathon which takes place in June this year.
Unfortunately, I had a few rubbish months - health wise at the end of the year so need to get back on it.
So far... I’ve managed to exercise every day this month and feeling fabulous!
