Extra August VJ Day Challenge
Regular entry price
Due to high demand we have ordered additional medals to offer more places but these medals are only due with us at the END of August and will be posted as quickly as possible thereafter.
This year of course also marks the 75th Anniversary of VJ Day and after the success of the VE Day challenge we are asked by lots of Team VRUK members to create a challenge to mark this date when peace was celebrated world wide after the second world war.
It also presented the opportunity for us to support the Royal British Legion Industries charity by appointing them as the nominated charity for the challenge.
We are offering this amazing medal and entrants must complete 7.5 miles or km to earn it. OR 7.5 hours of exercise.
It is a beautiful medal, finished in antique gold colour and actually features our own Grandad, Ronnie. Who bravely served in the Royal Navy and was based in the Far East during this time
We are also supporting the RBLI by donating £2 from every entry to the Royal British Legion Industries Charity.
This Virtual Distance Challenge is throughout August
We are asking entrants to run, walk, cycle or swim 7.5miles or 7.5 km. In one stint or multiple sessions throughout the month.
The medal is a reward for completing the challenge and submitting evidence by the deadline date.

The events nominated Charity
Royal British Legion Industries has supported the most vulnerable wounded, injured and sick veterans on our village in Kent and nationwide for over 100 years, by providing training, homes, care and employment as well as ensuring we can continue to support those disadvantaged by disabilities or health conditions.
Our RBLI Village is home to over 300 veterans who have often slipped through the cracks and live incredibly challenging lives.
Our unique impact is that through our five types of accommodation, ranging from emergency shelters to high dependency nursing care, we can support any veteran at any age with any health need. The training and employment programmes we provide on our village and nationwide also empower people to regain their independence.
