75 years ago, on the 6 June, 1944, the largest seaborne invasion force in history set sail for France on a mission to liberate Europe.
This day went down in history as D-Day.
The Battle of Normandy, lasted from June 1944 to August 1944, resulted in the Allied liberation of Western Europe from Nazi Germany’s control.
Some 156,000 American, British and Canadian forces landed on five beaches along a 50-mile stretch of the heavily fortified coast of France’s Normandy region. The invasion was one of the largest amphibious military assaults in history.

Currently it is estimated that there are more than 4,500 ex-service members of the British Armed Forces which are homeless throughout the UK and we are expecting this number to rise in the near future.
What We Do
We are focused on helping our ex-service personnel enjoy clean living environments - a place where they can feel at home. We also focus on helping them find a permanent home through social housing and assisting them with their application.
Our Outreach projects include helping ex-service personnel with food, clothing and advice. In addition to this, UK Homes 4 Heroes provides a counselling service to assist with a host of psychological disorders including PTSD. Find out more about what we do.
