Nominated Challenge Great Cause / Charity
A charity to provide support and help for teenagers and young adults
suffering from cancer, and to raise vital funds for research.
The Aims of Our Charity:-
To give gifts to teenagers and Young adults, 13-24yrs, who have had a devastating Cancer diagnosis and are going through horrendous treatment regimes. These young people face months and even years battling the disease spending weeks upon weeks in hospital. Our aim is to provide them with a gift that will hopefully bring a smile to them. A laptop, tablet or phones so that they can keep in contact with their friends or some other treat that they would like.
To offer financial help to families as they support their child. Parents have to extended time away from work and the financial aspect of cancer is a huge stress and burden.
To award a bereavement grant to the next of kin in the horrendous event of a young persons death.
Childhood Cancer research gets less than 2% of the governments funding for research, the majority goes to fund adult cancer. We aim to give a yearly grant to fund research into Childhood Sarcoma research and HLH research.
With everyone’s support and help, 1 day we will find a cure …no child should suffer…
